How do geologists explain the dome-shaped rocks of Kata Tjuta?
Geologists would explain the dome-shaped rocks on Uluru and Kata Tjuta on weathering and erosion. After millions of years of erosion (such as wind and water/rain), it took its effect and created dome-shaped rocks. After a time period of approximately 550 million years ago the massive rocks started its slow degradation into two mountains.
